Vodafone Pulls Out Of Libra Project

Information reaching us has it that Vodafone has joined the leagues of companies to exit Libra Cryptocurrency project.

Recall that Facebook came up with the Libra project with the aim of providing financial services to billions of people around the globe.

Vodafone which is a British telecom giant made it known that they are leaving the project but are still open to future collaboration.

According to Coindesk, “Vodafone has become the eighth company to pull out of the Libra Association, the governing council for the Facebook-created global digital currency initiative, CoinDesk has learned.”

However, Vodafone said “We have said from the outset that it is Vodafone’s wish to make a real contribution to the expansion of financial inclusion. We remain fully committed to that goal … We will continue to follow the development of the Libra Association and not exclude the possibility of future cooperation.”
