MecoCash Enables Litecoin Witdrawal From Korean ATM
There is a new development that Litcoin has gone into partnership with MecoCash to enable Litecoin holders to withdraw their cash equivalent from Korean ATM.
MecoCash has around 13,000 cash machines in South Korea. The new service offers the possibility to easily transfer litecoin to South Korea and convert it into the Korean won.
The chairman of MecoCash, Jo Jae Do, states in the announcement:
“Through our collaboration with the Litecoin Foundation, we will increase Litecoin’s presence in the Korean market, starting with the cash withdrawal services. And with the Litecoin Foundation as our partner, we expect to grow globally and see positive synergies in the coming future, not only in the Korean market, but also in the world market.”
Charlie Lee, the inventor of Litecoin and CEO of the Litecoin Foundation, adds:
“The integration of Litecoin into the M.Pay platform and a large network of ATMs is a major step in the expansion of the Litecoin footprint on the South Korean market, and we are excited to partner with MeconCash while providing their platform continue to expand and offer additional services that can be used with Litecoin.”
In addition to litecoin support from ATMs, people will also be able to pay with litecoin in stores that use the MeconMall platform. In addition, people will be able to pay for mobile games through M.Pay. In short, good news for the adoption of litecoin!.
