Binance Charity Launches Crypto Against Covid19

Binance charity has been in the frontline of philanthropic activities as long as the Covid-19 outbreak is concerned.

They earlier made a donation of items worth 1.4 million dollars (10,000,000 RMB) back then in January in a project that was named ‘Binance Wuhan’. The donation was made to help alleviate the pains that China was going through as at that time.

Yesterday, Binance Charity launched a new project tagged Crypto against Covid. In the project, Binance charity is aiming to raise a whopping 5 million dollars in cryptocurrency (BTC, BND, BUSD and XRP). This money is to be used in the purchase of needed supplies for countries that have been severely hit by the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the CEO of Binance, “The crypto community is a growing force and we have an opportunity to strengthen this through philanthropy. We encourage the community to take part in this initiative as we unite against COVID-19, and together, we’ll drive impact.”

The Head of Binance charity also had this to say “The most important element of human life is to show compassion and help others as we can, without the limitation or restriction of borders. Blockchain technology enables this in greater capacities than ever before and Binance Charity wishes to bring this to the masses.”

It can be recalled that as of March 20, the crypto charity organization had already delivered 366,000 pairs of gloves, 56,800 masks, 9 sterilizers, 173 barrels of disinfectant (around 5 tons), 5,280 bottles of hand sanitizers, 20,000 testing kits, 7,850 protective suits, 20,000 pairs of goggles, 388 oxygen concentrators, and 1000 germicidal lamps to over 300 hospitals and medical teams in multiple provinces/cities including Hubei, Sichuan, Guangxi and Shanghai.
